Westell and North Lanarkshire Council
Based in the heart of Scotland, North Lanarkshire has a population of around 321,000 and covers one of the largest council areas in the country. When Westell became involved in a convergence migration project with the council, they had a voice network consisting of Siemens PBXs, linked through traditional leased lines using DPNSS. North Lanarkshire Council (NLC) were looking to aggregate voice and data services to get the best out of them. Westell offered NLC a solution whereby they could keep all of the DPNSS telephony services staff came to depend on whilst introducing a new IP telephony system.
