Quintum® Announces Microsite Redesign to Showcase New Capabilities for Deploying Unified Communications

Quintum Technologies, a leading innovator in VoIP technologies and a subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: NWK), announced today the redesign of their dedicated Microsoft Unified Communications (UC) microsite supporting Quintum’s participation as a Microsoft Unified Communications partner. Quintum is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and Quintum’s Tenor VoIP gateway products have been independently qualified to meet the technical and marketing requirements for OCS2007 deployments.

The new UC microsite can be found at http://www.quintum.com/microsoft and features “Dr. Quintum” (Dr. Q) as an interactive and knowledgeable source of all information related to the deployment of Quintum Tenors with Microsoft’s UC initiative. Dr. Q will walk visitors through an animated demo showing how Quintum’s new Unified Communications Proxy (UCP) enables Tenors to provide “any to any” multipath switching between VoIP and TDM networks, support fax and modem equipment on the same PSTN connections, and enable multi-gateway connectivity to a single mediation server.

The microsite layout provides new sections, including FAQs, testimonials, and detailed descriptions of how Quintum’s Tenor provides voice integration for Microsoft Unified Communications with OCS2007. The FAQ section offers general information on Tenors and provides valuable tips and information for deploying Tenors and integrating Microsoft OCS2007 with a legacy PBX voice network or with a newer IP-based network. A list of Tenor-supported PBXs, IP PBXs, and telephony protocols are provided along with an online UC deployment webinar and a documentation and download area.

“ The new UC microsite is designed to allow website visitors to easily find answers to issues that concern them when deploying VoIP,” said Chuck Rutledge, Vice President of Marketing for Quintum. “In particular, Dr. Q will show the ease with which Tenors can be integrated into a Microsoft UC environment.”

The new UC microsite also features Quintum’s new Total Care Package for Microsoft customers with a “One Price/One Year" support package that includes everything from remote installation to Advanced Warranty Replacement. The Total Care Package will assist customers with pre-network design to assure easy integration of Tenor with the MS Mediation Server, the PSTN, existing PBXs and any analog devices, including FAX machines. Quintum will verify that Tenor successfully operates with the Microsoft OCS Mediation Server, the PSTN, and all attached devices, and Quintum will offer 24X7 access to its engineers along with advanced warranty replacement, if needed, for one full year.
